Xplore FCU’s Holiday Giving Campaign 2021

Xplore Federal Credit Union is hositing a Toy Drive December 2021 to support local nonprofit organizations. The 2021 community organizations are CASA Jefferson Parish, St. Gabriel, and Louisiana Hospitality Foundation. Donations will be distributed to children in need within foster care, students of St. Gabriel schools, and children of hospitality employees incurring difficult times this season. 

"Each of these organizations provides great services to children in our community, and this toy drive will help support them not only through the holidays, but also through next year," said Amanda Credeur, Xplore FCU's Business Development Manager. "We truly appreciates the continued generosity of our members in 2021, allowing us to partner with over six nonprofits this year."

Xplore will be accepting toys Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at their three branch locations (5500 Veteran 70003, 221 Veterans 70005, and 701 Poydras 70139). Toys can be for any age, and toys should be unwrapped. 

Toys will be collected through December 29th, and will be distributed to the organizations as needed thorughout the month. Any toys not distributed by Christmas will remain within the organizations community centers or provided to children in need for their birthdays next year. 

Xplore will also be collecting monetary donations and gift cards and to purchase toys for these organizations. Members are able to donate via transfer from their accounts, and anyone from the community can donate by calling Xplore FCU or visiting the branch during business hours to drop off gift cards.

CASA, Court-Appointed Special Advocates, are appointed by judges to serve as the voice for children in foster care. Every year they receive wish lists from children in foster care, and sponsors purchase necessities, toys, and books for these children for the holidays.

St. Gabriel the Archangel supports under resourced families through many community involvement projects throughout the year. During the holidays they focus on needs as well as presents during the holiday season for families in their community as well as children attending their free St. Benedict primary school.

Louisiana Hospitality Foundation Mission’s mission is to strengthen Louisiana’s hospitality industry by supporting individuals within the community. The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation will bring cheer to hospitality industry families in need across greater New Orleans in December. Our goal is to serve 100 families this year and we need your help.
