Xplore Federal Credit Union, a community charter credit union in Southern Louisiana, celebrated the Grand Opening of their new Metairie branch with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, May 18^th at 1:00 p.m. Xplore FCU’s newest branch is located in the Lakewood Plaza Shopping Center at 221 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Ste E Metairie, LA 70005 next to Winn-Dixie. The Ribbon Cutting was hosted in conjunction with the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and catered by Happy Italian Pizzaria. In attendance were many individuals responsible for brining the new branch into reality from employees to architects, small business partners and members, media partners WWL, WGNO, and WVUE, and representatives from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Jefferson Parish Government. 

“This new branch is representative of the future of Xplore,” said Rafael Rondon, President and CEO of Xplore FCU, "Members can expect future branches to also feature a smaller footprint while providing the same great service as well as innovative technology in the form of Xplore Away kiosks and ATMs.”

Open since March, the branch includes a teller line, two Xplore Away offices, and a drive-up ATM toward the front of the parking lot. Centrally located, Xplore FCU’s newest branch is a convenient; the branch is only 10 minutes from City Park, 15 minutes from Lafreniere Park, and 15 minutes from Downtown New Orleans. The newly renovated space provides convenient services from the drive-up ATM in the parking lot to the large Xplore Away offices. Xplore’s newest technology, Xplore Away video banking, is featured in two large offices at the 221 Veterans branch. The Xplore Away service allows anyone to speak face to face with a local financial representative. The drive-up ATM for this branch is located toward the front of the parking lot near the corner of Carrollton Avenue and Veterans Boulevard.
