Great nonprofit organizations working on recovery in a multitude of ways in areas affected by Hurricane Ida. Find out how you can help by donating time, money, or supplies with any of these organizations below. Additionally, all of the organizations below have resources on their website for those affected by Hurrican Ida, so please share with those that can help as well as those that were affected and need support. Second Harvest needs volunteers and funds to continue supplying thousands of meals a day to people throughout Southern Louisiana affected by Hurricane Ida. You can find other ways to donate and help on their site, or even get a group together to volunteer to pack meals. 
 
Supplies for Women & Children and Disaster Relief Fund: Junior League of New Orleans: https://www.jlno.org/disaster-relief/
JLNO is collecting supplies to support women and children such as diapers and period products; their members are volunteering to pack and transport supplies multiple times a week to areas affected by Hurricane Ida. Additionally there is a diaster relief fund set up to provide funds and supplies to affected families and other local organizations involved with relief efforts. 
 
The LA SPCA is overwhelmed with requests for resuce, food, medical supplies, and emergency trasport of pets in the many affected areas. They are working to quickly reunite or find new homes for the many pets dispalced, as well as provide assistance to those trying to keep their pets during this difficult time. They are requesting donations for these efforts.
