The Annual Membership Meeting of Xplore Federal Credit Union for the year ending 2023 will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 4:15 pm at   Xplore FCU, 5500 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, LA.

The Nominating committee is presednting the following individuals:

  • Cynthia Kraus, Board Incumbent 3-year term
  • Danilo Saborio, Board Incumbent 3-year term

In accordance with our Credit Union bylaws, the Nominating Committee is presently accepting petitions for additional Board candidates.  As mandated by Credit Union Policy, applicants must, at a minimum, be members in good standing and have never caused a monetary or property loss to the Credit Union.

If interested in running for a Board seat you may qualify to run by:

  • Obtaining a petition from one of our branches or by visiting www.xplorefcu.com (you will need 100 existing credit union member signatures)
  • Completing the petition along with your qualifications and biographical data
  • Providing a written statement of your willingness to serve, if elected

These documents must be received by Xplore Federal Credit Union office by the close of business Friday, May 17, 2024, in order to qualify and have your name placed on the ballot.  There will be no nominations from the floor.  For more information, call Nominating Committee Chairperson, Anthony Turley at 504-256-5982. Cynthia B. (Cindy) Kraus

Cindy has been a volunteer at Xplore FCU since 1992 and the Board Secretary for 27 years.  Cindy also chairs the Volunteer Education Committee and works closely with the credit union team to assure our volunteers are properly trained for their roles. During her tenure, the credit union expanded from a single branch, moved to a community charter, changed its name and grew from $40MM to over $160MM in assets.

Cindy retired from Shell Offshore Inc. in October 2020 after working in New Orleans, Louisiana and Houston, Texas. For most of her 38 years with Shell, she worked in the Land Department as a Land Technician/Analyst supporting Shell’s Deepwater GOM – Commercial Organization. Cindy has excellent organizational and people skills as she worked closely with other internal departments within Shell (Regulatory, Legal, Assets) as well as the oil & gas industry’s governing body, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.

Cindy is a native of the New Orleans area, making her home in St. Bernard Parish. Cindy went to work with Shell after attending Nunez Community College and working her way up the ranks within Shell from an Administrative Assistant to a Land Analyst, earning a certification from The University of Houston in Petroleum Land Management. Cindy and her husband Jay have two children, Amanda, who is an Ochsner Labor & Delivery Nurse and Sam, who is a U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class, Aviation Ordnance man. Cindy also has two grandsons, Jayden who is 9 and Elijah who is 6.

 

Danilo Saborio

 Danilo is the Founder and President of Global Business Vision, LLC, and has 38 years of professional experience in the realm of international business, with a focus on U.S.-Central American affairs. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Capital 3S, Inc., which provides financing options for early-stage companies in developing markets. In addition to his work leading companies, Danilo has launched his owned tequila brand named Maria Isable in memory of his late wife and also worked extensively with Washington, D.C. lobbying firm Livingston Group to establish stronger working ties between the United States and countries like Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. He is a member of the Louisiana-Latin American Business Development Commission and is a graduate of Georgia State University College of Business Administration with a degree in Economics and Finance.
